This is a model of an articulated tank car in the "Caib" livery.
At the beginning of the nineties, the first tank trucks were built with a so-called “kink boiler”. The boiler was designed in such a way that the two boiler halves incline 3° towards the centre. That is why the content of the kettle, mainly mineral oil products, flows off almost completely without any additional aids.
As the lightweight steel vehicles are suitable for higher speeds, they were soon procured by other companies across Europe. These wagons are owned as P (= private) wagons in the stock of all European railway companies.
