The set contains three rolling roof wagons type Tamns 886 and a swing roof wagon type Taes 887 of the Deutsche Bahn AG.
After the Second World War, the export of clay from the German clay mining areas became increasingly important. From the middle of the seventies onward, clay transports to Italy - to the northern Italian regions with ceramic manufacturers - were more and more transferred from the truck to the railways.
The transports were organized in the epoch V by subsidiaries of the Deutsche Bahn. The trains go on a 900 km long journey from the German Westerwald via Switzerland to Italy.
